Artist Bio

Anthony Cuozzo (AC) is a self-taught artist based in Ossining, New York, whose work has grown from a deeply personal need to create. He first turned to art during a difficult period in his life, discovering that the process of making something with his hands offered a place for reflection, escape, and personal growth. What began privately has since developed into an evolving artistic practice built around experimentation, curiosity, and the willingness to try something new.

Anthony first found his artistic voice through textured abstraction, creating heavily worked acrylic surfaces that emphasize depth, movement, imperfection, and emotion. Rather than beginning with a rigid plan, he often allows the materials and process to influence the direction of a piece, embracing unexpected changes as part of its development.

More recently, that same spirit of experimentation has led Anthony into spray paint art. What began as another technique to explore has opened an entirely new direction in his work, including landscapes, atmospheric scenes, space imagery, and increasingly representational subjects. While visually different from his abstract work, the two approaches share a fascination with texture, atmosphere, contrast, and the process of discovering an image as it develops.

For Anthony, creating art has never been primarily about recognition. The value lies in the process itself—the challenge of learning, experimenting, occasionally failing, and discovering something unexpected along the way. Each new piece becomes another step in that continuing evolution.

Anthony is also an active member of the Ossining arts community, exhibiting his work locally while contributing his time and creative skills to supporting and promoting other artists. That sense of community has become an important part of his artistic life, allowing art to serve not only as a personal outlet but as a way of connecting with others.

His work continues to change as he does. Rather than defining himself by a single style or medium, Anthony approaches art as an ongoing exploration—following wherever curiosity takes him next.
